STEN Paratrooper DROP CASE
RARE Leather Sten Paratrooper Drop Case
· This is an original WW2 British STEN paratrooper drop case made of leather and canvas.
· The leather Drop Case is 20 ½” long and another 5” longer including the canvas closure.
· There is a canvas bag sewn to the body that holds the drop rope.
· Small wire pins hold the case around the leg.
· Once out of the aircraft, the paratrooper would pull these pins and the case would drop below him.
· Marked “B. H.G. 1942” and broad arrow marked.
· A rare early British Para accoutrement.

STEN MAGAZINE comparison - Above are samples of the German "Schmesser System" MP28 SMG Mag (circa 1928) that the WW2 British STEN Mag was copied from. German Mags were usually machined during fabrication for smooth fit and blued.
British STEN Mags (samples shown below) were mostly left as stamped. STEN Mags have been seen to be blued, painted (black or gray), or left raw.
